Goodbye 2011

Ok well 2011 has been a challenging year to say the least!

FAMILY

My mom had cancer and had to have surgery and by a grace of god is now cancer free.  When things like this happen you really look at your life and the people that are in it and you wonder what you would do if they were suddenly gone....I know i have no idea what i would do with out my mom, she is where my strength comes from and she is the glue of my family.  My husband decided to go back to the jails to work and leave the streets, which more than i'm sure he wants to admit was a hard decision, but it was a great decision for our family.  He is going to go back to school and FINALLY finish his degree.  I'm so proud of him, he is such an amazing husband and father.  Our roads has never been a easy one but we have grown because of the challenges and we are closer and stronger than ever.

SKYLA


OMG she is such an amazing little girl.  She does something almost everyday that just shocks me and amazes me at the same time.  She has made so many accomplishments this year. Here are a few: learned to crawl, learned to sit up, loves adult food, has an amazing taste for food, learn to walk , learned to run, climbs stairs, talks all the time, no longer on a bottle, doesn't have a pacifier, very independent, daring, loving, affectionate, had her first birthday party, loves to learn new things, went swimming for the first time and loved it, makes friends where ever she goes, always happy and smiling even when she doesn't feel 100%, can be sneaky, little on the tough side, becoming more of a daddys girl (unless shes sick),  has no fear.

WORK

My boss got promoted at work which was great for her, but scary and challenging for me.  To say the least my work life has been in a bit of shambles and i have been on pins and needles trying to figure out if i will be getting promoted ..... and is it something that i want?  I have been dealing with all these emotions while still having to have a brave face for my support managers, which is not always something that is easy to do. There are a lot of questions going through my head when it comes to work and i'm hoping 2012 will help brings some good news and clarity. 


Well I think that about sums it up.  Here is saying goodbye to 2011 and hello 2012 hope you bring lots of good news and love and joy to my family and those i love.

Update on the Holub Family

OK OK OK I know i have not been on here in a REALLY long time and i do apologize.  Our lives have been so crazy lately that there is just not enough time in a day.  Starting with my work life: things have been a roller coaster ride....My Store manager got promoted to a District manager,  which i wont lie i was so excited for her but also scared and unsure of what the future would hold for me, the store and our sales team.  She and I have grown very close in the 3.5 years we have worked together and we have always talked about what would happen if she got promoted, but it has ALMOST happened so many times that we didn't really prepare this time and it actually happened.  She has become more than just my boss she has become a really close friend and as much as i know we will still remain friends, this i know, it still felt like breaking up LOL sounds funny i know but that is really the best way for me to explain it.  So as for me..... I think i have always assumed that i would get the store no questions asked but its not looking like that is going to be the situation, I am the Acting Store Manger through the holiday season which is a good time for me to prove myself.  Come January I have to interview for it which is a little irritating, unnerving and overwhelming all at once.  Right now all i can do is take it day by day and know that everything happens for a reason.


Things in Adams life have been pretty normal lately, thank god!  He has really been holding me together doing all these changes.  We just found out he is finally getting his transfer that we have been waiting like 8 months for so that is good he will be closer to home which we love.


Skyla is so amazing and smart that it blows my mind.  She can say so many things lately such as "Whats that?" "Whos that" "buh bye" "Thank you" "oh yea" and many other things.  She is completely off her bottle which i love not having to cart those around anymore or wash for that matter :).  She is the smartest little girl....almost more than is good for her ! We are so excited for Christmas because this will be the first Christmas that she can actively participate in which should be fun.


This last week we took a little family vacation to get away and enjoy each other for a few days!!  Skyla went to Vegas for the first time lol i know of all places right!!! Well her daddy has really been wanting to go and hang out so that's what we did!!! We had a bunch of fun we relaxed, napped and chased Skyla around the mall as she ran into every art gallery and jewelry store she could find .... this should probably concern me :).  Well here are a few pictures of our trip hope you enjoy and i promise to be on here more regularly

13 Months old / Halloween

Skyla is 13 months old, I can not believe how the time has flown by.  Skyla is walking like a pro she is talking all the time she loves to say "Who's that?" "Whats that?" "Mama" "Dada" "Hi" "Bye" "shhhhh" "no" "Thank you" she loves to play with shapes. Here Train, Ladybug and Horse are her favorite toys right now! She was a monkey for Halloween and loved that everyone was talking to her and given her candy :) She is definitely a handful and keeps us on our toes. 1 YEAR OLD

OMG where did the time go??? I have a one year old already!!!! I can not believe it has been a year it has gone by so fast and she is learning and developing so fast i'm afraid to blink!!!! we had her birthday party on saturday and she had such a good time and was in a great mood!! Thank you to all our family and friends that came and were able to share the day with us, for those of you who could not be there to share in it with us here are a few pictures!!!  SHe had her one year check up on MOnday and she has finally evened out!!! She is in the 75% for both height and weight.  Doctor said she is perfect and growing great!!!

11 MOnths

well my little monkey is 11 months old and i can not believe she is almost 1 ...... Where has the time gone!  She is such a amazing little girl and the center of our world. She is walking and talking and always happy no matter what.  Mommy and Daddy have been working a lot but we have made sure to make plans and spend quality time together! We went to San Diego today and just hung out, away in cool weather.  WE will be BBQ this weekend for Labor day and on Sunday we will being doing Skylas 1 year photo shoot  (which mommy is super excited about) here are a few pictures from our life's recently.

Almost 10 Months

Drive in with Daddy

Well Skyla is going to be 10 Month old in two weeks......I can't even believe it...She is trying to start to walk which is causing some bumps and bruises.......we are having a wonderful time watching her learn things and discover things.  She has learned to clap and all in all she is a wonderful amazing child and we could not ask for a better baby.  Well i know this is short but my monkey is awake and time for our mother daughter day!!!  Here are some pictures to enjoy until next time.....

OMG time flys

Well it has been over a month since the last time i was on here to update everyone.  So i started off by updating the look of the blog and update the pictures of Skyla at the top.  Well Skyla is a pro at crawling and is wanted to learn to walk so bad.  She can pull herself up on anything from a chair to your leg. She is getting so big I can't believe it.  You know when your little and everyone tells you to enjoy it cause time flies and as a  kid you look at them like 'yea ok all i want to do is grow up already and make my own rules and do my own things.'  Now at 25 all i want to do is go back to being a kid with no responsibilities and mom and dad took care of everything I just had to be a kid and had nothing in the world to worry about.  It seems like yesterday that Skyla was born and we are already approaching (with incredible speed i might add) her first birthday......WOW.....Thats really all i can say.  Skyla discovered the swings for the first time  the other day which was a funny situation.  She was terrified at first and then she realized that they were really cool...LOL..

Well other things going on in our lifes....... Uncle Ben and Aunt Jen are expecting Baby Paige to be here anytime really she is already Dilated to a 2 so we are all on Paiges time now :) Jen has done amazing with her pregnancy and i'm so happy she had a easy and enjoyable pregnancy.

My 26 Birthday is about 12 days away (not that i'm counting) excited about that. Other than that really life has just be crazy busy with the day to day things and chasing Skyla around the house

WEll WElll WEll

The title really says it all lately.....We have been so crazy busy around here that it is truly hard to take a minute to write on here and catch everyone up.......  Skyla is growing so so so so so so so fast, her bottom two teeth are coming in (and all you parents out there know) that is fun.  She is loving eating solid foods, thats all she seems to want .  She went to the Renaissance faire with us this last weekend for the first time and got a little tan while we were there lol ate her first banana that was pured and made to look like applesauce, and she LOVED it.  While life has been amazing I have no complaints... Sorry i have been a absence blogger but I am going to try and update more i swear :0) till next time here are a few pics for you.

I know i haven't been on here in what feels like forever, we have been so crazy busy. But we are all doing wonderful and I just wanted to leave you with this picture from Skylas first Angels game.....

6 month check up

So today Skyla had her check up and things are great. She is in the 97% for her height at 27 1/2 inches and 80% for her weight at 17.7oz. Doctor says she will probably be very tall.  her doctor gave us the ok to give her solid foods so im super excited about that.  Skyla got her booster shots and hated them of course and other than that things are great.  We are spending the night cuddling as a family since daddy's home.

6 Month old

WOW Skyla is officially half a year old :) its so amazing how much time has flown by. It feels like yesterday we found out we were pregnant and then we were having all kinds of scares and now she is 6 month old and happy and healthy.  WE have had many many things going on around here since our last post.  Skyla was with her Grandpa for St Pattys day so Daddy and I could go out and have some much needed fun.

We welcomed miss Allison Janea into the world on 3/22/2011 at 357pm at 7lbs 6oz and 19 inch long.  Ashley did so wonderful and she is perfect.  

Skyla was sick the last few days giving us a stressful week she had a temp up to 102 almost 103 :( i hate seeing her like that and not being able to do anything or know exactly what is wrong.  But she is doing wonderful now and back to her same old self happy and bouncy.

Daddy started back to work tonight....We hate it cause we don't like going to bed without him.

Beyond that we are doing wonderful and making sure we are happy and doing things that are right for our family. thats all that matters.  Monday Skyla has her 6 month check up so i will update everyone then. Good night.

Quick Update

Well not a lot of time but i didn't want to take a few minutes to update everyone.  Well last week my little family went on our first family vacation just us.  I was a little scary considering my husband and i have never been on vacation without my parents with us, but all in all it was a wonderful trip.  We spent the week in San Francisco and we even took our dogs with us :) It was a full car load but we made it there and back and had a wonderful trip.  Skyla is doing amazing sitting up almost completely on her own now :)  She has a check up and shots :( at the end of the month so i will update everyone.
